We’re Too Cheap To Pay For Spam Followers. Won’t You Follow Us For Free?

By | August 7, 2012

We must be doing something wrong.  Whenever we see a new follower show up on our twitter account(@givinguptheship) with a suggestive photograph and an explicit web address, we block it and report as spam.  Apparently, celebrities will pay $18 for 1000 of these! Jason Feifer of Fast Company reports in a fascinating article in which he attempts to track down the women in these pictures- which are, of course, being used without their permission. We have to admit, though, without all the spam followers, it gets kind of lonely. Won’t you follow us(@givinguptheship) and help us get to our modest goal of 1000 real followers without spending $18(we’re both old-fashioned and cheap). And while you’re at it, why not like us on facebook? Come on, make some lonely folks happy.
